Catechesis is a responsibility of the entire Christian community. This is should not be the work of priests and catechists alone but of the whole community of the faithful.

It's often easy to think of our Catholic Faith in a sentimental way if we grew up Catholic and to think of the beautiful Faith of a parent or grandparent.  But as we grow, our Faith must become our own.  To grow as a disciple of Jesus Christ, we need to know not only what we believe, but why we believe it.
