Christ indeed from death is risen, our new life obtaining. Have mercy, victor King, ever reigning!
The stone that held our precious Lord in dark seclusion was rolled away! Did you follow along with Mary Magdalene, Peter, and the apostles as they experienced the thoughts of uncertainty-alarm-fear- and the emotions of -sadness-despair- this week. What thoughts and emotions are you experiencing this Easter day? Do you still see an empty tomb? Or are you rejoicing that our Savior lives? How was your Lenten journey? The deeper your Lenten journey, now will be your Easter Joy! We are blessed to know that Jesus is no longer there in that dark tomb but Resurrected in Grand Glory! There is an enormous Joy in this Resurrection Day-we are freed from the bonds of death! “Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and hallelujah is our song.” Saint Pope John Paul II. Let us live in the sacrament of the present moment and stay close to Jesus and Mary. There is a JOY in Jesus, a JOY that is meant to draw us closer to his pierced hands and side. Like Fr. Ben offered at the Parish Mission-let us drink from the side of Jesus-it is there where living blood and waters flow. Keep to the JOYS and may all the Divine Mercies flow over you and all those you love this day and always! Journey onward ye sojourners. ~ Caroline Trimble, DRE
